5 Tips to Victory in Battalion 1944 – A Winner’s Guide

Bulkhead Interactive’s first-person shooter Battalion 1944 was just released last month. Now the game is starting to get some serious traction.

Battalion 1944 is a World War II multiplayer shooter that is available for shooter fans around the globe. If you want to boost your skills in this increasingly popular shooter, then you are going to want to check out these tips.

1. Put Your Team First

Battalion 1944 is a team based shooter. When playing this title, you are going to want to protect and support your allies at all times. If you fail to be attentive to your team’s needs, then it is likely that the enemy team will capitalize on that and focus you down before moving on to your now weakened squad. Avoid this by sticking with the group and working as a team.

2. Don’t Be Afraid to Play the Hero

You need to protect your team. Most of the time, this will mean playing relatively safe and watching your teammate’s rear flanks. But, there will be times when you need to run away from the pack to apply some much needed suppressing fire so your team can advance.

Make your team’s safety your priority. However, don’t be afraid to take risks for the sake of the team.

3. Don’t Forget About Those Smoke Grenades

Smoke grenades often get a bad wrap in video games. However, this non-fatal grenades can give you an incredibly useful tactical advantage in a tight pinch.

Have you been cornered by oncoming forces? A well placed smoke grenade can mask your position, confuse your enemies and give you a chance to escape.

4. Use Windows as Shortcuts

Moving into buildings can be a great way to stand your ground. That being said, you can also buildings to quickly make your way across certain maps.

If you need to cover ground fast, then don’t bother running around intact buildings. Most of the time, there will be a bevy of windows you can leap through to quickly travel across a cramped map.

5. Make Use of the High Ground

Like in many other shooters, having the high ground can be a grand advantage when you find yourself in a shootout. When entering the map, try to find a nearby building to scout out. Make your way to a high vantage point and pick off your foes as they pass.

Make sure to move position after each kill, however. Otherwise an enemy you previously killed will come back to haunt you.

Hunter Boyce

Hunter Boyce is a writer, which probably seems pretty obvious with "author" prominently displayed. He mostly writes about video games. However, he was previously a mixed martial arts news writer. When not writing about people pelting each other in the face or about leveling up in the latest RPG, he tends to spend his time as a web producer in Atlanta. You can shout all of your MMA and video game related quandaries at him at @SomthinClever on Twitter. Feel free to make your demands to him in ALL CAPS. He loves that.
