Dota Underlords Tier List – August 2019

Dota Underlords is available in early access at the moment. The eight-way battle for dominance pins you against a hoard of other players in a war for the city of White Spire. Despite only being in early access, this title is already getting some serious attention from the Dota community.

If you want to stay in front of the proverbial pack when playing this game, then you are going to want to choose your units wisely. Don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Check out our descriptions for each tier list down below before delving into our breakdown of how each hero stacks up in the current meta.

Tier List Descriptions

  • Tier S — These heroes are incredibly strong. While not impervious, these heroes are always smart choices.
  • Tier A — These heroes are strong. While not as strong as some other heroes, these characters still pack enough power to justify being picked in most situations.
  • Tier B — These heroes are average. Neither overpowered nor devastatingly weak, these heroes are solid and common picks in the current meta.
  • Tier C — Less popular than their counterparts, these heroes are generally considered more situationally useful. These heroes may still be quite strong, but may require more skill and tactical awareness to fully utilize.
  • Tier D — These heroes are often considered weaker than their counterparts. The least popular picks in the current meta, these heroes are generally best avoided for characters higher within this tier list.

It is important to note that every hero in Dota Underlords is capable of bringing you victory. There is no sure way to play this game that will lead to victory every time. The game will go through several patches, causing many heroes to be buffed and nerfed along the way. That being said, this tier list offers a general breakdown of how each hero is fairing in the current meta.

This tier list was last updated to reflect the alterations made during the August 2, 2019 patch.

Hunter Boyce

Hunter Boyce is a writer, which probably seems pretty obvious with "author" prominently displayed. He mostly writes about video games. However, he was previously a mixed martial arts news writer. When not writing about people pelting each other in the face or about leveling up in the latest RPG, he tends to spend his time as a web producer in Atlanta. You can shout all of your MMA and video game related quandaries at him at @SomthinClever on Twitter. Feel free to make your demands to him in ALL CAPS. He loves that.
