How to Unlock the Secret Ending in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair (Spoiler Free)

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is not messing around. This platform is just as challenging as it is fun. That being said, there is a way to dial this game’s difficulty all the way up to 11.

If you really want a challenge, then you are going to want to aim for this game’s secret ending. It won’t be easy, but it will be rewarding. Check out the details below to learn how you can unlock the Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair special finale.

How to Unlock the Secret Ending (Spoiler Free)

The ultimate goal in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is to defeat the villainous Capital B. That being said, you will get different endings depending on how you decide to go about fighting the boss.

In order to earn the secret ending within Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, you are going to have to avoid all of the bees within the game.

Once the game begins and you make your way through the title’s brief introduction, you can go ahead and enter the Impossible Lair and face off against Capital B. Of course, you can also traverse through the game’s many levels before doing so.

If you choose to venture through the game’s many levels, then you will get a chance to collect bees. These fluttering bugs will help keep you alive once you make your way to the Impossible Lair.

In order to unlock the secret ending, then you will have to ignore all of these levels and dart stray for the Impossible Lair. With no bees by your side, however, the treacherous journey is going to be brutally difficult. Still, you will earn a special medal and an achievement for completing this difficult task.

How to Traverse Through the Impossible Lair (Spoiler Free)

Since you will not have any bees to protect you, you are going to have to play your way through the Impossible Lair perfectly. If you do take damage, then Yooka and Laylee will be separated.

In order to save yourself from defeat, you will have to use Yooka to catch Laylee before the timer runs out. Otherwise, you will both peris.

Perfecting this mechanic is paramount if you wish to earn the secret ending.
