Destiny 2 The Final Shape Trailer and Details Drop

Destiny 2’s The Final Shape trailer shows Ikora talking to a mysterious and very well spoiled character for an entire minute then drops a date for more information (September 22 2023). It seems the next season will drop sometime in February of 2024. Watch the trailer first before you get details from anyone, though the preview image spoils it all:

Short and long of it, that’s Cayde-7 who is staring at “The Final Shape.” The number in an Exo is how many times they’ve been rebooted. Cayde has been rebooted again and they’re on their way to the Final Shape. The Final Shape is the result of the Witness attempting to bring order to chaos and make sense of a meaningless world (literally). You can understand more in the following cutscene:

Things seem to be wrapping up in Destiny 2 for either a time skip, a reboot or some finality to the overarching story of why the Witness and the Traveler have been duking it out.
