It seemed like Helldivers 2 was unstoppable but midway through 2024 it has fallen down to where Bloons TD 6 and Fallout 76 rest on the charts. This fall from the top wasn’t really from any single incident, but a collection of decisions that consistently drove player counts down from the unexpected hype of its release. You may think the account linking fiasco is what destroyed the player counts, but the game was actually in free fall long before then: HELLDIVERS™ 2 – Steam Charts. The problems were not only fundamental to the game’s design but the developers and publisher both didn’t rectify the obvious game issues rapidly enough before they lost the vast majority of players due to attrition. Note: This is only notable due to the anomalous nature of Helldivers 2 holding a strong player population for an extended period of time and then losing it, not specifically…
There is a single living Human in Murder Drones, known as Tessa Elliot. After episode seven, we’re given enough information to say definitely who Tessa Elliott is: they are the current host of Cyn, the improperly dissembled worker drone who mutated the Absolute Solver virus. They’re the main antagonist and villain of the series and have been manipulating the Murder Drones the entire time. Need to refresh on the series? Watch the full series here: MURDER DRONES – Episode 1: PILOT (youtube.com) Tessa Elliot as a Human Tessa Elliot is never shown fully as a Human in the series. In “Heartbeat” and “Home”, Tessa is shown as only a dark silhouette with nothing else but her dress and bow to identify her by. Tessa lived at Elliott Manor where many of the worker drones had previously worked. She loved playing dress up with the worker drones (giving them hair and…
ABRISS is a beautiful puzzle game that is engaging both visually and auditorily. It’s a thrill to work level by level and engage various Rube Goldberg-esq contraptions to destroy the level. It’s even more thrilling to replay each level to perfect your build and get a higher completion rate. Ultimately, for the price, ABRISS is a must buy if you love puzzle games, demolition and kickin’ rad audio. Destruction & Controlled Mayhem ABRISS has you place various items in the game to fall, move or be controlled to destroy various red targets. Each level has a more or less ideal solution to it but there’s some room to be creative past the tutorial levels. There’s definitely room to tighten up your build to destroy more and get a higher score or better shots in the photo mode / gif creator. The game doesn’t have a story or depth or tricks…

Everspace 2 is a beautifully crafted massive open world first person space shooter action RPG with tight controls and a lot of fast paced action. ROCKFISH Games, a small independent studio, have overdelivered in their sequel to Everspace. This time, instead of being a roguelike, the game follows more along an ARPG path where you’re exploring a vast open world with easily 50+ hours of content. It is easily worth the price of admission at full price but let’s dig a bit deeper into that. To be perfectly clear – Everspace 2 is not a roguelike unlike Everspace, although Everspace 2 is much more like an ARPG, i.e., Diablo in space with an open world like Freelancer. So Much Good Content Everspace 2 has so many areas to visit that it can be overwhelming and all of them have different aesthetics and vibes. That’s important that the content is good,…
Players can be quite confused at who Inarius and Lilith when they have almost no exposure to either of them before Diablo IV’s launch. Inarius is a rogue angel and Lilith is a rogue demon who created Sanctuary as a means to escape the Eternal Conflict between angels and demons over the Worldstone (the focus of Diablo II). They birthed the nephalem which eventually over time became humanity. That’s everything. We have a ton of technical lore history below, but if you’re just curious who they are that’s about the best summary I think you can have. When they introduce themselves in the game as the mother and father of Sanctuary, they’re not lying. There’s a lot more technical info on the situation than that, but we first need to talk about what came about to cause them to create Sanctuary. We’ll then go into a mixed bag of topics…
