The Main Scenario Quests (MSQs) are the core story quests in Final Fantasy XIV that guide you through the major plot points of the game. They unlock as you progress through the levels and expansions. As the game evolves and you can skip earlier content, the MSQs are still a critical part of the leveling adventure no matter what expansion you start with. The MSQs will be your primary source of experience points (XP) as you level up, especially for your first job. You’ll get tons of XP rewards from completing these quests, which makes leveling up smooth and straightforward. We have another leveling guide focused purely on the first 70 levels, whereas this guide is for anywhere in the game that you may be. My advice for new players is to focus solely on the MSQs when starting out. Don’t get distracted by side quests or other activities, just…
Feng Shui is a very deep practice that has many elements and a lot of philosophy to it. Often thought of in offices and at home, yet rarely thought of in video game homes. Yet, the basic principles of Feng Shui can apply to your Minecraft, Valheim, Rust, Grounded, etc. base just as well at your apartment or house. Let’s dive into that. The Flow of Energy In Feng Shui the idea is that the entrance of the house is where energy begins to flow from. Pathways that everyone walks brings energy with it and manipulating that flow of energy is how you can have good energy or bad energy within a home. While this is a massive oversimplification, that oversimplification can really help to understand the basic principle here. If you think about your base in a game, especially a multiplayer base, you can quickly see the pathways where…
Money talks and in Dave the Diver it might literally walk in this mash-up of every kind of adventure and action mechanic thrown into one. Dave the Diver is so much fun, but you’ll need to do a lot of grinding across everything from a Farmville-esq farm to your own hatchery. To fuel it all you’ll need gold above the surface and Bei below the surface. This guide may contain mild spoilers on later game mechanics. Farming Gold in Dave the Diver Gold is obtained through three methods: sushi sales, quests and selling fish and items. The first is going to be your biggest revenue driver and fund your expeditions the most. The second, questing, is going to help get you to the next quest a bit faster and get you some much needed upgrades. The last is reserved for the lower tier fish and any items that are meant…
GYAO! is a traditional Tamagotchi game within Dave the Diver. It follows the exact Tamagotchi formula with some quality-of-life upgrades. You’re probably wondering how to grow and take care of your GYAO! because the game doesn’t provide any tips, unlike other areas of the game. The reason being is that the original Tamagotchi has sort of a thing where folks would play without the instructions. That lead to a lot of Tamagotchi pets lost. Just like the original Tamagotchi Connection, the same instructions do work exactly here. We’ve included the Tamagotchi Connections v1 Instruction bits that are relevant to Dave the Diver at the bottom. How to Care for GYAO! There are two main needs for GYAO! Food and affection. The manage screen shows you this. If you see a mess, click the clean button. If you see the purple skull, press the medicine button. At night, you must check…
To reach world 5 in Legends of Idleon you’ll have to first defeat the previous four world’s bosses. You only have to do this with one character, which is the critical step in making this “speedrun” as fast as possible on a fresh character. One of the reasons to reach world 5 quickly is that it makes the rest of the content nearly trivial and prevents you from sticking around the previous worlds grinding for way too long. We’ll break this down world by world. If you’re already at say world 3, use the table of contents to move to world 3 and just start there. You can technically reach world 5 within a week or two without spending any money, expect to spend roughly a month unless an event that gives free candies is running. While you can play any class and will have a full team, check out…
There’s a lot to picking your first class and then subsequent job in Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) to take into consideration. Seasoned and new players alike can have difficulty choosing which job to play and it’s especially relevant for new players who have to stick with the first class they pick for awhile. Getting stuck on that class selection screen is a real reality with so many classes in FFXIV to choose from. The first thing we go over is picking your class and you’re stuck with that until level 10. Then at level 30 you can change to jobs which grant expanded abilities. Then at level 50 there are new jobs to unlock based on expansions and other considerations. So we go into what all the different classes / jobs do in the game, how to acquire them and what they do. So consider this a one stop shop…
Grinding items in Legends of Idleon can be painful and Lava, the developer, has designed it to have a considerable amount of push and take. When you afk at any location or actively farm there, you obtain drops from monsters. In World 1 & World 2, these drops have to be farmed manually. Starting in World 3, with the 3D printer you can automatically print resources by using the sampling skill. No tutorial is needed, the starting questline in W3 gives you the sampling skill and asks you to sample two things. You can then go to the 3D printer (once unlocked via construction) and then assign each character to print up to two items. All of the gem purchases for the printer are amazing. There is no class for sampling, although check out our class tier list to figure out which class order to go in. Print Cycles The…
Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach is the first 3D action survival horror game in the FNAF series. You take on the role of Gregory who wakes up inside of Glamrock Freddy in a Pizzaplex that is in a state of chaos. We’ve compiled some tips below to help you survive the night along with how to obtain the game’s various endings. The biggest tip of all is to understand that the game is linear but not completely linear. Areas are gated past passes that are only given out at certain times and in certain areas. However, how you upgrade Freddy and how you proceed can be completely up to you. You can see your available missions anytime on the watch. Scott Cawthon retired which means that the series is moving on now with him taking a less hands on approach. However, it’s very clear in Security Breach that Steel…
RoleGenerator was launched in July 2021 oriented to helping dungeon masters and roleplaying game enthusiasts with generating a lot of the day to day minutia of their roleplaying campaigns. As of right now, they have 28 modules divided into two categories: Dungeons & Dragons and generic roleplaying generators. The latter refers to narrative content or content that isn’t specific to any game system and ubiquitous across any type of roleplaying gaming. There are modules focused purely on roleplaying, my favorite being the land and event generator which will take a terrain type and generate flavor text and events that randomly could occur which is great for fleshing out tile by tile what’s there (or even in building rooms for a MUD). Their D&D module generates a shop with inventory, which is useful in building some much needed randomness between shops. Many of the modules include in-depth looks what the generator…
The Movies, a business simulator, launched in November 8, 2005 and is still, today, played by an ongoing community who loves not only the fun of building your own movie studio but also the fun things you can do with the movie creation tools. YouTubers Life OMG! is, in so many ways, a modern streamlined version of The Movies, just without the animated movies built in. YouTubers Life takes you into the life of a burgeoning online video star who starts their career with a potato for a PC, mic, webcam and general setup while living with their parents and follows their career house to house as they expand their video making empire. Each video you produce allows you to choose cards to decide outcomes that impact the videos script, acting, editing and sound level. You then go in and edit the video, working in post-production to match scenes together…
