Over the Alps is a really unique adventure game that’s a mix of the Grand Budapest Hotel, every spy movie ever made and a choose your own adventure with some serious consequences to your actions. It’s broken into four acts and each act can take up to an hour with your various choices that play out through choosing postage stamps for post cards not so much changing the location but the general story and how characters interact with each other. In many ways, it works like this, you have a set path that you move through the game and a general flow for how the story will play out, however, the details of how what when and where play out throughout the game. More and more I’m becoming an eco-aware person because I’m finding paper straws are showing up more frequently in restaurants. Paper straws are a much more eco-friendlier version of the plastic straw which shouldn’t exist, but do. The mouthfeel of them is so awful and the taste of the beverage so far ruined that it makes me mad respect when the sweet lady at the sushi place behind where I live gets on everyone to reuse their straws. We need to cut carbon emissions fast and it’s growing more obvious each day. If we don’t, paper straws are just the start of the dystopian future where the US starts issuing Star Citizen packages as bonds and Bitcoin is the official in-game currency of World of Warcraft. Red Dead Redemption 2 Hits New Sales High, Latest Figures Revealed

It’s only been a few months since Rockstar Studios’ released Red Dead Redemption 2. However, it would appear that the game has already garnered some serious sales numbers. Now parent company Take-Two Interactive has decided to come forward with the details. While titled Red Dead Redemption 2, the game is actually a prequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption. Starring Arthur Morgan, the game centers around the Dutch Van der Linde gang during 1899. Featuring a slew of interesting characters and set in the American wild west, Arthur Morgan is sent on an adventure that will change him forever. Take-Two Interactive has now come forward with a detailed report of their fiscal third quarter. Within, the company revealed that Red Redemption 2 has “sold-in more than 23 million units worldwide.” It’s important to note that “sold-in” means that the game copies were sold to retailers, rather than directly to customers. The Wii Shop Channel has been live for nearly 12 years. Despite the smashing success of the Wii and the continued achievements of the Wii U, it is now the era of the Switch. With the Nintendo Switch having topped the hardware sales charts for 2018, it seems few fans are complaining. That being said, it’s still the end of an era. Now Nintendo fans are about to experience the brunt end of that loss. After nearly a solid dozen years of selling WiiWare and virtual console games, the Wii Shop Channel is now planning to shut down on Jan. 30, 2019.
