NPCs were announced to be returning to Fallout 76 in an epic trailer for the upcoming updates released at E3. This update is to bring life to what was a lifeless world, what was to force players to interact with each other backfired and now NPCs are coming back to the world. Will that save Fallout 76 though? To answer that question, I argue we need to look at what Fallout 76 really is and what it’d need to do to be fun again. Fallout 76 is Honestly Just a Bad Guild Wars 2 Clone One of the weird things about Fallout 76 is that it’s pretty much Guild Wars 2 without a lot of the cool stuff about Guild Wars 2 and the PvP zone was in the PvE zone. No one makes that connection easily of course, but instead of an Everquest or World of Warcraft with a…

After releasing a teaser trailer just one day prior, Gearbox delivered a press conference at PAX East on Thursday that many Borderlands fans have been anticipating for quite some time. No, I’m not talking about Randy Pitchford’s demonstration of his magic skill. On top of the foreshadowed Borderlands 3, here are all of the announcements from Gearbox’s PAX East showcase. Pathologic 2 Gets a Release Date The strangely-named Pathologic 2, which is actually a remake of the 2005 cult classic Pathologic rather than a proper sequel, got a release date of May 23rd, 2019. The game is being published by tinyBuild of Hello Neighbor fame in cooperation with Gearbox and will be released in chapters through Steam. Risk of Rain 2 The sequel to Hopoo Games’ popular rogue-like takes the series from the 2nd dimension into the 3rd. A third-person co-op game being published by Gearbox, it’s a bit of…
Annual sports games are generally the same every year, with some improvements sprinkled in here and there. MLB The Show is no different. I am a huge MLB fan and initially went the Playstation route over Xbox solely because of The Show, but I don’t think I have bought a copy of the game since 2016. However, the changes that are coming with this year’s version are enticing enough to make me want to spend that extra $60 to get my lifelike MLB experience. Personally, I play MLB The Show for mainly one reason – and that’s for its Road to the Show mode. My childhood dream was to become a major league baseball player, but at 5’6″ and 135 pounds as a senior in high school, I realized that dream would never come true. However, with Road to the Show, I can be a switch-hitting, 6’3″ beast who drops…

“I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.” A line every Pokemon fan is familiar with from the original show’s first song lyrics. In order to be the best, though, you need the most powerful Pokemon. As much as weaker Pokemon may be our favorites, sometimes they just don’t cut it. A constant recurring theme in Pokemon that it’s not how strong the Pokemon is, but how much their trainer cares about them, that wins a battle. As any Magikarp can attest, that’s not entirely true, but from a different perspective, it’s not entirely wrong either… Even the Pokemon most famous for being powerful can be outshined by weaker species of Pokemon by the way that they are raised. In that sense, putting more care into how you raise your Pokemon really does matter compared to just going by how strong a Pokemon inherently is. So…
