Scott Cawthon is retiring from the Five Nights at Freddies series. You can read the full details over on his site right now, but since it will change, we’ll include the full announcement at the bottom of this post. For FNAF fans this is kind of big news, but in reality with where the franchise is now, I’m not sure that is exactly is for the reasons I’ll outline below. Scott has sort of long moved more into a visionary role than an actual core programmer of everything. The original FNAF games were mostly developed by him (I’m not exactly sure the exact percentages of his development vs. outside help for each game). They were simple and easy to develop. Streamers and YouTube gamers made the series popular with their reaction to the game’s relentless jumpscares and, in later games, the increased difficulty modes where precision button mashing was required…
Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) has gotten a wave of folks to take up the $1 offer for Microsoft Game Pass today. The question is, outside of MSFS what else is there to play? Here’s seven suggestions focused mostly around recent releases. Game Pass no longer has a “free trial” but does have new user bonuses. The following games have been reviewed for 2024 and remain awesome games to play on game pass. Touhou: Luna Nights An amazing Metroidvania game that is based on a popular bulletheck arcade style game. Very fun time control mechanic. Great for those new to Touhou and aren’t into bulletheck style games. Crusader Kings III A game that someone you know probably talks about so you should play it to find out what it’s about. You can delete it afterwards, no biggie, it’s only about 7 gigabytes. Fun to play with no intention to win and…
Modern day VR started back in 2013 with the Oculus Dev Kit 1 (Oculus DK1), which was then updated and re-released in 2014 to backers as the DK2. In 2014 the retail Oculus was released and the Vive and the “Windows Mixed Reality” headsets soon followed. Originally, headsets were plagued by slow refresh screens or a myriad of issues that caused motion sickness in games and skeptical developers who didn’t want to develop for a platform that required $399 or more for a user to play, plus have a beefy PC gaming rig on top of that. So where are we in 2020? Well, in sort of an interesting and weird spot. VR is more alive than ever before, with VR experiences in real life being the “new arcades” and consumer VR headsets reaching mass adoption, but it’s not exactly a success down the line. Consumer VR Headsets (Oculus &…
PUMA has announced new gaming socks and shoes, with a ridiculous idea of somehow being better for gaming than a pair of Crocs. I don’t really care enough about the actual socks or shoes to delve too far into them. The socks have “different modes” for some reason which is just whatever and the shoes are whatever as well. I mean, I just don’t care a fool and their money, right? Created with console gamers in mind, the gaming sock is the first edition Active Gaming Footwear. Designed for indoor and in-arena use, it delivers seamless comfort, support and grip so gamers can adapt to different active gaming modes and game their best.PUMA’s Website (UK) What is interesting, when clicking the links on a few gaming sites is noticing that there are referrer links in play. While, not specifically big news to anyone, I find it absolutely hilarious and silly…
No Man’s Sky Beyond is out now, allowing Virtual Reality players to fully enjoy the game. With that in mind, the VR community is now working hard to catch up with the rest of the No Man’s Sky crowd. Luckily, there are a lot of nifty ways you can quickly build your proverbial empire if you are new to the game. Check out the tips below for a quick breakdown of how you can quickly make money in No Man’s Sky VR. Trade Chlorine One of the most profitable substances in No Man’s Sky is chlorine. If you want to become a wealthy benefactor of the galaxy, then you are going to need to learn how to obtain it and sell it. When it comes to farming chlorine, the name of the game is to always keep an eye out for organic rocks, submerged relics and floating crystals. Organic rocks…

I can honestly sum this game up in a few quick sentences. Do you love Rick and Morty and don’t mind VR click to teleport mechanics? Then purchase this game – you’ll be happy that you did. It runs great, at least for me on my PC and it’s hilarious. I mean just outright hilarious and somehow, a silly game like this makes choices you make matter more than any other game. Biases: I love Rick and Mortyi5 8600k on a GTX 1080Oculus HMD (Retail)Oculus Touch / DualshockNo review copy supplied. Early on you’re tasked by someone to kill a few enemies who are harassing him. Once you’ve helped him, he grants you the power to double jump. If you go behind him and kill the enemies there, he will freak out and start crying. When you run into him later, he will still be upset with you. The joke…
After releasing a teaser trailer just one day prior, Gearbox delivered a press conference at PAX East on Thursday that many Borderlands fans have been anticipating for quite some time. No, I’m not talking about Randy Pitchford’s demonstration of his magic skill. On top of the foreshadowed Borderlands 3, here are all of the announcements from Gearbox’s PAX East showcase. Pathologic 2 Gets a Release Date The strangely-named Pathologic 2, which is actually a remake of the 2005 cult classic Pathologic rather than a proper sequel, got a release date of May 23rd, 2019. The game is being published by tinyBuild of Hello Neighbor fame in cooperation with Gearbox and will be released in chapters through Steam. Risk of Rain 2 The sequel to Hopoo Games’ popular rogue-like takes the series from the 2nd dimension into the 3rd. A third-person co-op game being published by Gearbox, it’s a bit of…
