Pokemon Unite Tier List – Best Pokemon Heroes – February 2023

Pokemon Unite is a free to play Pokemon MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) similar to kind of like League of Legends x Rocket League. The goal isn’t to destroy the enemy nexus, something that you can’t actually do. It’s to collect Aeos Energy and then go to enemy control points and score with it. You can collect the energy via PvP fight (Pokemon being the player hero) against the opposing team or by fighting wild Pokemon scattered across the map.

The key to victory in this game is team composition and not all Pokemon are equal in their ability to score KOs and deliver the Aeos to the enemy control points. So leverage our tier list below so that you can have the best chance at being the game MVP.

In understanding where a Pokemon goes on the list we have to take into account its ability to both get KOs and farm Pokemon on the map. A lot of Aeos Energy comes from the random Pokemon scattered across the map and mini-bosses. So it’s important to consider both.

Additionally, we consider all modes: ranked, normal and quick match. All game modes play similarly, with quick match just being a shorter game overall. We do not feel there is much difference in breaking down Pokemon by “support” “attacker” “jungler” etc. because everyone should be doing most all of that together, especially if you queue solo.

Updates

  • Sept 21 – Bulbasaur update moves Venusaur up on the list.

Pokemon Unite Tier List

S Tier: Pikachu, Snorlax, Alolan Ninetails

To be quite honest, I feel like Alolan Ninetails is the best novice Pokemon thanks to the ice slow, giving you ample chance to chase down enemies and take them out. It’s not the best at farming the jungle, but there is a lot of value in getting KOs so your team can score on the control points.

A Tier: Crustle, Lucario

You can’t go wrong with these two. They’re not as good as Snorlax or Pikachu or the S tier in my opinion, but they edge out B tier.

B Tier: Everyone else: Cramorant, Garchomp, Gardevoir, Slowbro, Wigglytuff, Absol, Greninja, Talonflame, Machamp, Zeraora, Eldegoss, Mr. Mime, Gengar, Venusaur

It’s Pokemon! Almost everyone can win. B Tier is fine to play and you’ll do well with these Pokemon.

C Tier: Cinderace, Charmander

C Tier is basically the don’t play tier in Pokemon unite. S & A are the best and everyone else is pretty much equal. Most Pokemon are balanced well, there are a few outliers for best and worst.

Thanks for using our tier list!
